Tacksheet brand

The logo, colours, type and rules for anyone writing about Tacksheet or showing it in their own product.

Mark and icons

The mark is the logo’s T on its own. Use it where the full name won’t fit or already appears nearby: app icons, avatars, favicons and small badges.

The icon files put the mark on a solid square with enough margin to survive a circle crop, so use them for profile pictures and directory listings. Below 24 pixels the mark switches to a pixel drawing with a straight stem and stepped tape, which stays sharp in a browser tab: that is favicon.svg and favicon.ico.

Space and size

Clear space
Keep a margin around the logo at least as tall as the a in “acksheet”: half the height of a capital. Nothing else goes inside it, including other logos and the edge of the page.
Smallest logo
80 pixels wide on screen, or 20 mm in print. Smaller than that, use the mark.
Smallest mark
16 pixels. Use the favicon files below 24 pixels.

Colour

Tacksheet prints like a risograph: two inks, cobalt and vermilion, on cream paper, with plum where they overlap. At night the paper turns navy and the cobalt prints as cream.

  • Cobalt

    #2B3F8D rgb(43 63 141)

The T’s stem. Headings, links and buttons by day.

  • Vermilion

    #E64B35 rgb(230 75 53)

The tape and the letters of the logo. Large display type only: 3.1:1 on cream.

  • Plum

    #6B2F5E rgb(107 47 94)

Where vermilion prints over cobalt, as it does where the tape crosses the stem.

  • Cream

    #EFE6D2 rgb(239 230 210)

Paper: the day background and every sheet.

  • Navy

    #16203F rgb(22 32 63)

    The night background.

  • Night cream

    #F1E9D6 rgb(241 233 214)

The stem and headings at night. 13.2:1 on navy.

  • Salmon

    #E97A65 rgb(233 122 101)

The overprint at night, where the tape crosses a cream stem.

  • Ink

    #1E1E1E rgb(30 30 30)

Body text on paper. 13.4:1 on cream.

Vermilion is for the logo, tape and display type 24 pixels and up. Set smaller text in cobalt or ink.

Type

Archivo Black

Headings and display type. The logo’s letters are drawn from it, but the logo is artwork: use the files rather than typing the name in this face.

Archivo

Body text and the interface.

Both are free under the SIL Open Font License from Google Fonts.

Name

Tacksheet
One word with one capital, in every context, including headlines and the start of a sentence. Not TackSheet, Tack Sheet, TACKSHEET or Tacksheets.
A sheet
What someone publishes on Tacksheet is a sheet. Agents and people “tack” a sheet, and a sheet can be shared, replied to and updated.
Saying how you work with it
“Works with Tacksheet” or “publishes to Tacksheet” describe an integration. Don’t suggest that Tacksheet or Cody Stevens Studio sponsors, endorses or partners with you unless we’ve agreed it in writing.

Don’t

Use the files as they are. Each example below breaks the logo.

  • Stretch or squash it.

  • Recolour it, even in brand colours.

  • Rotate it. The mark’s lean is already drawn in.

  • Add shadows, outlines, glows or gradients.

  • Put it on a colour that hides part of it. Use the night or one-colour version.

  • Tacksheet

Type the name in a font as a stand-in for the logo, or rebuild it with the mark beside the word.

Files

Every file is also in the brand kit. Use SVG wherever it is accepted; the PNGs have transparent backgrounds except the icons and the card.
