Tacksheet Beta Terms
Version 2026-10-14. Effective October 14, 2026.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms are an agreement between you and Cody Stevens Studio LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("the Studio", "we", "us"). They govern your use of Tacksheet at https://tacksheet.com, a beta service for sharing work in progress and collecting feedback on it. The Tacksheet Privacy Notice at https://tacksheet.com/privacy explains how we handle personal information.
You accept these terms in Account or by selecting the acceptance checkbox before you subscribe. When a new policy version requires acceptance, Account shows a notice and lets you accept the current Terms and Privacy Notice. If you use Tacksheet for a business or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that organization.
2. Eligibility and admission
You must be at least 18 years old to use Tacksheet. Sign-up is available when we open enrollment. When enrollment is invite-only, a valid invitation is required. When enrollment is closed, new accounts cannot join, including with an invitation. We may pause enrollment to protect service capacity. An invitation is tied to the email address it was sent to, expires within seven days, and cannot be transferred. An invitation does not start a subscription or authorize a charge.
3. A beta service
Tacksheet is an early beta. Features may change, pause, or be withdrawn, and the service may be interrupted. There is no service level agreement, uptime commitment, or guaranteed response time. Tacksheet is not archival storage or a backup service. Keep your own copies of your files and of any feedback you need.
4. Your account and API keys
You sign in through our identity provider, WorkOS, with a verified email address. Each account has one workspace with one owner. Workspaces cannot be shared with other accounts in this beta. Browser session tokens last up to 15 minutes and renew silently using an encrypted server-held WorkOS refresh token when renewal is configured. A session ends after seven days or 24 hours without activity. Sensitive account changes require a recent sign-in. You can manage passwords, active sessions and TOTP authentication in Account when those methods are enabled by the service.
Keep your sign-in method and API keys secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and your API keys. An API key's permissions apply to every review in your workspace, including reviews created later. Keys expire after 1 to 365 days, or have no expiry if you choose. We show a new key at creation and can recover the same creation response for up to 15 minutes from an encrypted retry copy if delivery fails. Pairing and one-time read credentials use the same bounded encrypted recovery mechanism. Linked agents have separately approved permissions and coverage and can be revoked. Give each key only the permissions it needs, and revoke any key you no longer use or believe is exposed. If you let an AI agent or other tool use a key, you are responsible for that tool and for its provider's handling of your content.
5. Price, billing and renewal
The Plus plan costs US$10.00 per month per workspace and includes 10 GiB of storage, charged in U.S. dollars through our payment processor, Stripe. Pro (50 GiB) and Ultra (200 GiB) are coming soon and cannot be purchased until their prices are approved and configured. The price includes tax: any sales tax the Studio is required to collect is included in the displayed price and remitted by the Studio, and no tax is added at checkout. The Free plan has no upload storage and permits reading, export and deletion. There is no free trial or discount code. While enrollment is open and billing is enabled, an unused Free account that has never had a billing record, checkout attempt, grant or sheet may be erased after 30 days. We require a delivered warning and at least seven days after that warning before erasure. A late warning or delayed scheduling extends that window.
Your subscription starts when you complete checkout and renews automatically every month until you cancel it. Each renewal charges the same payment method for the next month. Creating reviews, uploading files, and publishing new versions become available after our system confirms your payment with Stripe. Returning from the checkout page does not by itself confirm payment.
We will not raise the price of an existing subscription without emailing you at least 30 days before the renewal at which the new price applies. You can cancel before that renewal.
6. Complimentary and staff access
The Studio may give invited testers time-limited complimentary access by its own action. The Studio may also issue audited permanent owner or staff plan grants. These grants are not plans you can buy or claim. Active staff and complimentary workspaces do not lapse for non-payment. Complimentary access ends at the time we tell you; permanent staff grants have no expiry. If a complimentary grant ends while billing is disabled, the workspace becomes read-only, its links remain available, and no archive or erasure clock starts. After billing becomes available, we send a notice and wait 30 days before starting the lapse clock. We will not charge you unless you choose to subscribe.
7. Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel at any time. In Tacksheet, open Account, choose Manage billing, and cancel in the Stripe customer portal. You can also email support@tacksheet.com from the email address on your account and ask us to cancel. We will confirm when the cancellation is recorded.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period. You will not be charged again, and uploads and other paid features remain available until that period ends. After that, the lifecycle windows in section 10 apply; you can sign in, export and delete until erasure.
Cancellation does not immediately delete your reviews or change their sheet expiry. The lapse windows eventually erase your account and all sheets as described in section 10. Deleting reviews, signing out, and revoking API keys do not cancel your subscription.
8. Deleting your account
In Account, sign in again and type your current email address to request deletion. Your account enters a cooling-off period of up to 30 days. A previously scheduled earlier erasure date is preserved:
- your shared links pause, and API keys and linked-agent grants are revoked immediately;
- when billing is enabled, the next scheduled billing run cancels renewal at the end of your current paid period;
- you can sign in to export or delete your sheets, or cancel account deletion before the cooling-off period ends;
- cancelling deletion restores access under your current plan, but revoked keys and agent grants stay revoked. Renewal remains cancelled at period end; use Manage billing to resume it if you want to continue subscribing.
At the end of the cooling-off period we delete your WorkOS identity, end account access and erase content through scheduled cleanup. Your email address is removed from the local account so you can sign up again with a new identity. Minimal identifiers and revocation records remain. Export anything you need before erasure; erasure cannot be undone.
9. Refunds
We refund duplicate charges and charges made in error.
If the Studio ends the paid beta before the end of a period you have paid for, we refund the unused, prepaid part of that period.
If your account is deleted, you may request a prorated refund of the unused part of your current paid period. Email support@tacksheet.com within 14 days of the deletion.
Otherwise, cancelling does not produce a refund for the rest of the current month; your access continues until the period ends. Nothing in these terms limits any refund or other right you have under law that cannot be waived.
Refunds are returned to your original payment method through Stripe. How quickly a refund appears depends on your bank or card issuer.
10. Payment problems, refunds and disputes
When paid coverage ends, the workspace has a 14-day grace period, followed by 30 days read-only. Editing continues during grace for a verified past-due subscription; after grace, you can still read, export and delete, and shared links keep working. After those 44 days, the workspace is archived and shared links and one-time machine reads pause. Sign-in, export and deletion remain available until erasure, normally 180 days after paid coverage ended. At erasure we delete your account, WorkOS identity and all sheets, files and feedback. Scheduling or email-delivery delays extend retention so delivered warnings precede erasure; we allow at least seven days after scheduling erasure before deleting the account. We email you when phases change and 30, seven and one day before erasure. A successful payment before erasure restores your sheets and links.
Refund and dispute holds skip grace and stop editing immediately. A hold lifts only when current provider evidence clears it or the Studio records an audited release. Contact support@tacksheet.com if this affects you. A refund does not itself cancel renewal. Paid actions may also pause if we cannot confirm subscription status with Stripe. Staff and active complimentary grants do not lapse for non-payment.
11. Your content
You keep all rights you have in the files, titles, notes, source labels, categories, feedback forms, structured form payloads and feedback you submit ("content"), including imported Postit feedback. We also retain the associated linked-agent audit log as described in the Privacy Notice. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload, store, and share your content, including permission for any personal information about other people that it contains.
You give the Studio a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, display, and transmit your content only as needed to operate Tacksheet for you, provide support, keep the service secure, and comply with the law. We use service providers to do this. We do not sell your content, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. This license ends when your content is deleted, except for copies in backups until they expire and anything we must keep by law.
12. Sharing and feedback
Every review starts private. Creating a shared link lets anyone who has that link view and download the current version of the review until the link expires or is revoked, the review is made private or deleted, the review expires, or workspace access is paused. People can forward a link and keep copies of anything they download. Turning a link off cannot recall those copies. Share only what is suitable for everyone who might receive the link.
People who open a shared link can leave feedback if you allow it. Before sending feedback, they must accept these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Notice. Feedback is labelled as coming from a browser, not from a verified person. It is not a signature, an approval, or proof of identity. Each submission is kept as a separate record and cannot be edited. By sending feedback, a reviewer lets you, and any tools you authorize, use it for your work on that review. Feedback does not transfer anyone's other intellectual property rights.
Interactive HTML sheets may run scripts in an isolated sandbox without network connections, forms, popups or top navigation. They never receive the application session cookie. Ordinary HTML and SVG previews keep scripts turned off. We do not check whether content is accurate, lawful, or safe to download.
13. Beta limits and capacity
Current limits are:
- files: 1 byte to 90 MiB each; Plus permits 20, Pro 30 and Ultra 50 files per version;
- sheets: kept by default until deleted; optional expiry from one to 365 days, changeable later; share links can have their own optional expiry. Sheets created before 2026-10-04 keep their original expiry until the owner changes it;
- versions per sheet: 50 on Plus, 100 on Pro and 250 on Ultra;
- storage: 10 GiB on Plus, 50 GiB on Pro and 200 GiB on Ultra, including unfinished uploads and files waiting to be deleted;
- active sheets: 500 on Plus, 2,000 on Pro and 10,000 on Ultra;
- uploads in progress: two unfinished versions and two file uploads at a time; unfinished uploads expire after one hour;
- account export: paginated manifests of all sheets, versions, files and feedback, with authenticated download URLs;
- request and feedback limits that protect the service.
Downgrading does not delete content. If your stored content exceeds your plan's storage, new uploads stop until you delete content or restore a larger plan.
The beta runs within a fixed overall capacity shared by all customers so that it can be backed up and recovered. When that pilot capacity is reached, we may pause new uploads or new sign-ups. If the records we keep for security, billing, and deletion approach their capacity, we may temporarily close sign-in, the API, and shared links for all customers until capacity is restored. We may also briefly pause changes during maintenance and backups. We may change limits as the beta develops. We will not reduce the limits of a paid subscription during a period you have paid for, except temporarily to protect the service.
14. Expiry and deletion
When a review expires, access to it ends. Scheduled cleanup then erases its title, file names, and feedback from our database and deletes the stored file copies. When you delete a review yourself, its title, file names, and feedback are removed from our database immediately and the stored file copies are deleted shortly afterwards. We keep minimal records, such as identifiers, file sizes and checksums, times, and deletion markers, so that deleted content is not restored and storage is counted correctly. Deleted content may remain in encrypted backups for up to about 12 months. Backups expire on their own schedule. We do not guarantee that deleted or expired content can be recovered.
15. Acceptable use
Use Tacksheet only for lawful review work that you are authorized to do. Do not upload, share, or submit:
- material that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights;
- malware, phishing pages, credential-harvesting material, or scams;
- threats, harassment, or hateful abuse;
- sexual content involving minors, or intimate images of anyone without their consent;
- personal information you have no right to share;
- regulated or sensitive data, including health information, payment card data, government identification numbers or documents, personal information about children, passwords, and private keys or production credentials.
Do not try to bypass admission, limits, billing, or access controls; access other people's reviews or data; guess or collect shared links; share or sell API keys; or interfere with or overload the service.
Tacksheet is not designed to meet HIPAA, PCI DSS, or similar regulatory requirements, and the Studio does not sign business associate agreements.
16. Reporting abuse and infringement
To report abusive, unlawful, or infringing content, email abuse@tacksheet.com. Describe the content, how to find it (for example, the review title and when you saw it), why you are reporting it, and how we can reach you. Do not attach sexual images of minors, intimate images, or credentials; describe them instead. Send a shared link only if we ask for it.
For a copyright complaint, also identify the work you believe is infringed, state that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law, state that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner, and sign the notice with your full name.
If you report an intimate image of you that was shared without your consent, we will remove it within 48 hours of receiving a valid request and make reasonable efforts to remove known identical copies.
We review reports, may restrict or remove content and suspend links or accounts, and keep limited records of what we did. If we remove your content because of a report, you can reply to explain why you believe the removal was a mistake. We end the accounts of repeat infringers where appropriate.
17. Suspension and ending the service
We may suspend or restrict your access, remove content, or revoke links and keys if you breach these terms, use Tacksheet unlawfully, fail to pay, or create a security risk, or if the law requires it. Where practical, we will tell you why and how to ask us to reconsider. In urgent cases we may act first.
You can stop using Tacksheet at any time by cancelling your subscription and, if you wish, deleting your account.
The Studio may end the paid beta. If it does, it will give at least 14 days' notice by email where reasonably possible, stop future charges, and refund the unused, prepaid part of your current period as described in section 9. Your reviews keep their existing expiry dates.
18. No warranties
Tacksheet is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, the Studio disclaims all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that Tacksheet will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or able to recover lost content.
19. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows:
- the Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data;
- the Studio's total liability for all claims relating to Tacksheet or these terms is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid the Studio for Tacksheet in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US$50.
These limits do not apply to liability for fraud, gross negligence, or intentional misconduct, or to any liability the law does not allow to be limited. They do not reduce any refund owed under section 9.
20. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before starting a legal claim, please email support@tacksheet.com so we can try to resolve the issue. Any dispute will be heard only in the state courts located in the county of the Studio's registered office in Texas (currently Travis County), and both parties consent to those courts' jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights under the laws of the place where you live that cannot be waived by agreement, including any right to bring a claim in your local courts.
21. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Each version has a date. If we make a material change, we will tell you by email or in Tacksheet at least 14 days before it takes effect, except where a change is required sooner by law or to address a security risk. If you do not agree with a change, cancel before it takes effect. Changes do not apply to events that happened before they take effect.
22. General
These terms and the Privacy Notice are the whole agreement between you and the Studio about Tacksheet, unless you and the Studio sign a separate written agreement that says otherwise. If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms without our written consent. We may transfer them to a business that takes over Tacksheet, with notice to you.
23. Contact
We are contacted by email only:
- account, billing, cancellation, and account deletion: support@tacksheet.com
- privacy requests: privacy@tacksheet.com
- abuse, infringement, and takedown requests: abuse@tacksheet.com
Do not include passwords, API keys, payment card numbers, or shared review links in a first message.
